Liam feeding himself =) Mmmmm. Bananas and blueberry pancake! Liam in his Berkeley tie dye helping Daddy with the dishes. Liam and Daddy have matching hats! Hanging out in the kitchen contemplating what to get into next ;). First (professional) haircut ... daddy gave him his first one ... but we won't be sharing pictures of those! His other favorite monkey hat.

Liam's first Christmas! Hi Everyone ... It's been an ABSURD amount of time since I last posted ... and now Liam is almost ONE!! I can't believe it. Motherhood (and fatherhood) has treated us well (albeit we're just a tad more tired and a smidge more disorganized and we trip over small toys, trinkets and dogs quite often). Liam is such a sweet, brave and funny child! We love him so much! He's on the verge of walking ... he pretty much migrates around any room using furniture and people's pant legs. He says "Ma Ma" (first word! yippie! =) ) quite often and "Da da" once in a while. He has many babbling sessions ... not sure what he is saying yet, but I am sure it is important! He has 7-1/2 teeth (one is on the way) and eats LOTS of things =). Exciting news! Liam just received his first HARNESS, a full body harness, from Gene's good friend Bobbi. It's a bit baggy yet ... but we'll have him out there belaying us in no time! HA ha. Love and Hugs, The Pires Clan

Hi there ...

Well, to be completely honest ... Liam spent Halloween at the urgent care clinic getting diagnosed with the croup ... but mommy slept better knowing that he was going to be okay even though he sounded like Darth Vader =(.

BUT, that doesn't mean that we wouldn't be able to see him in his super cute Halloween costume! Many thanks to Angela and Michael for their amazing photography skills and patience!

Yo ... check out the new wheels!

It's called the "Chariot" ... pretty cool, huh?

Gene just ordered the bike attachment and I'm sure we'll

be ordering the ski attachment before too long!

Liam really seems to enjoy it ... he's at eye level with the dogs and is snug as a bug in a rug in there!

He's really starting to talk lots and his smiles just make us

Yea baby!

Liam just had his 4 month checkup last Friday ....

He's a Loooooooooooooooooong baby ... he's in 87 %ile for Height

He's a Leeeeeeeeeeeeean baby ... he's in the 20 %ile for Weight (maybe my milk is skim?)

He's not necessarily a pumpkin head like his mom ... 55 %ile for Head Circumference.

Hi there ... Alas it is time for me to return to work. I am sooo very grateful for the time that I have had at home with Liam ... and to all of the people that donated leave to me so that I could do so! I really wish I could return to work part-time, but they will not allow it. Poop. We'll see what the future holds. My mom, Liam and I have had so much fun together! Thank you Mom for all of the special moments =) ... surely there will be many, many more! Liam just weighed in at 13 pounds the other day!! Thirteen is most definately his lucky number! He was born on Friday the 13th and turned 13 weeks on Friday the 13th ... wow! Here a few recent pictures ... Hugs to all! Gabi, Gene and Liam

Little Liam has hatched!

APRIL 13TH 2007 Little Liam has arrived =). 7 lbs 1 oz, 20.5 inches long. After a long induction culminating in a c-section, our precious little boy has finally hatched! We are all doing pretty well ... a bit zombie-like with the miniscule amounts of sleep we've been getting ... but getting the hang of breastfeeding and grappling with a crash course in "newborn care" ... nothing like the real thing! I'll post more as soon as I make sure that this uploads okay. We have a dial up connection at home, so it's a bit of a pain uploading pictures ... can take a very, very long time. Many thanks to all of our family, friends, and co-workers for their neverending support =). We feel so blessed!
